The LibDem onslaught continues. Knocked a lot of doors. Suspect a stress fracture in my left foot again. Polling day tomorrow. I'll post the results here of course. Current prediction seems to be that nothing short of a miracle will get me elected!

Well, to all intents and purposes, the leafleting in Central Ward is done. I'm completely exhausted now. The last LibDem leaflet is very slick. Experiencing huge concerns just now. Still, its too late to stop now. Again, I must pay compliments to my friends who have supported me these past few weeks, and dragged me around the last few streets tonight, despite approaching delerium! Thanks folks. Tomorrow? Day off - lunch meeting, a bit of study, a bit of hacking on Qdial perhaps?

International Workers Day. Celebrated with a six-hour solo leafleting marathon. I'm sure my small but dedicated team would want me to point out this was entirely self-inflicted. Poll predictions look dismal from around the country. Still, my money is on Ken for Mayor. The concert on Saturday was fantastic - really moving stuff, and all the better for knowing one of your friends is singing in the choir!

Well, that essay is back. I managed 79 which is an incredible relief, but one mark too few to make me pay up on a bet! Its in the work dump now of course. Off to see the Somerset Singers perform Verdi's Requiem at Wells Cathedral tonight.

I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.

I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
