A weekend of twiddling with Perl sees my project finally up and running, and so far working pretty well. Those with a password for the Lionel Image Repository can see it in action here.
Spent a very frustrating evening trying to get MySQL and php3 up and running on my box, as UKLinuxNet now offers these services on their webspace. I had to stray into hitherto uncharted waters and modify some makefiles! Still, it works...for now.
Another chance to mess about with the website. Well the good news (for a change) is that thanks to The Cooperative Bank, I will be studying again this February.
Continued illness and general bank holiday boredom gives me a chance to finally update the website. The contact form now works again, the links pages are slightly tidied up, and the Will Self page is finally up and running.

I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
