Some huge updates going on: at last RedHat have upgraded to a stable glibc, also grabbed Netscape 4.76 and an updated Ghostscript. Seem to have a cold. Looking forward to the arrival of my American Analog Set tape.... Need to split up this daylog again tomorrow.
Finally, the Gtkdial page is done. Its not much really, brief descriptive text, screenshots and RPMs/tarballs to download, but at least it keeps the daylog from becoming a changelog! The I.P.Knightley's once again fail to shine in the Brit Quiz. The GNOME book still hasn't arrived, and BOL have yet to reply to my moaning email.
Not at all a good day. Thank goodness for C20H22BrFN2O.
Job interview day. Hmm. I now realise how little I know of Local Education Authority finance. Sadly, I may never get to learn! Otherwise struggling with GNOME-popt (specifically string arguments), and wishing my new GNOME book had arrived from BOL.
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
