This week has been quiet in a rather sinister, "what's around the corner" way. Hayfever approaches - I can feel it...Another story on segfault.org today! Maybe not as good as the first one. Decision time on whether to study next year looms - as ever, the money is the problem.
Got some study done, but my head is spinning with facts about palliative care. Kicked back a bit, and managed to write a trivial thing which tells you which Linux Kernel is current - its here.
I've split up this whimsical and ever growing news page because it was getting too big, the old stuff is here. Watched the opening of the Tate Modern last night. Can't wait to go! Delgados on Later tomorrow night, pop fans! Formally left the Labour Party today...end of an era?
Life appears to be getting back to normal around here. Need to dedicate myself to study this weekend. A revamped and slightly improved version of StreetServer is up and running, and the thought of other people actually seeing Qdial means I've wandered through it, rationalising and clearing out some sloppy code. Unbelievably, Microsoft are trying to gag Slashdot!
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
