Spent the whole of last night watching North Somerset Council - or to be specific, the controlling Tory group throw away our excellent Local Authority Elderly Persons Homes forever. The debate was frankly undemocratic. Too disgusted to write more. You can read more about it here.
I'm exhausted! Went to see Cinerama during the week - excellent stuff, despite continual reminders about David Gedge being my "hero"! Managed to get pretty much up to date with studies over the weekend too (a minor miracle), and even set about the onerous task of learning C. Why do I feel an expensive book purchase coming on?
Well, Windows 2000 is out, and no-one around here has succumbed yet! It's only a matter of time, Mr Jones! Back from Scotland to a deluge of free AOL CDs, after having a fine time. Reading Stuart David's "Nalda Said", but should be catching up on study really. I've forgotten how to do my job!
Finished "Miss Wyoming" - need new books now! OK - a whole week off work. Away in Scotland from Tuesday, so no updates to the site. All plans to study ahead are on the scrap heap now! Minor updates to the site made today too (added links mainly). Expect new content soon. Bleeding edge types note, a beta of RedHat 6.2 (codename 'Piglet') is available for download now - I hear the installer works!
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
