Trapped in Weston by huge storms, which have unsurprisingly paralysed our already fragile public transport infrastructure. My already dreaded return is postponed for a further day.... My good deed for the day was some anti-MS Frontpage lecturing. Read one of A A Milne's 'Winnie the Pooh' stories for the first time ever, and found it very entertaining indeed!
Very, very unwell last night - and definately not self inflicted! About to venture out into the squall again once this site is updated. Viewing my return to work tomorrow with much trepidation. Had my dreams analysed, and came to no significant conclusions.
A very surreal early morning visit to the DSS - does playing Fawlty Towers in the waiting room amuse and pacify the waiting masses, or turn them into irked Basil-alikes? Finally, totally content with my GNOME setup - OK, bring on 1.4 to ruin my Winter!
Evolution day! Spent much of the day messing with Preview 7 (aka 0.6, confusingly!). Much improved, and completely usable for my meagre needs. Someone remind me not to update bonobo for a while!
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
