Election results day. Stayed up for the counting - more out of tradition than any concern that I'd be elected. Did passably in the end, and I'm really happy with the vast majority of those elected too. A more varied board than I'd expected. Incredibly sleepy now.
Industrious day. Got mail sorted out here, since Evolution seemed to get upset collecting it directly from the server. Should have done this a long time ago anyway. Since that was fixed, moved on to trying to use Mailman as a possible way of making this daylog more manageable. Wandered around town amid tediously large pre-christmas crowds. A productive couple of days at work - things making more sense mostly. The election trucks along almost unnoticed, whilst I bid crazy money on expensive collections of books on eBay. A few more translations roll in for gnome-pkgview - reminding me I should work on accessibility, and getting it somewhere more useful than here (cvs.gnome.org perhaps?).
Voting opens in the GNOME Foundation Elections. Early indication seem to confirm I won't get just one vote - always makes me worried about voting for myself in elections, that one! Some bitter rows are brewing on the various lists however, so maybe there is still time to prove I'm not just
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
