Work remains very weird. Got drenched several times in unseasonal downpours. Looks like a tentative Glasgow trip might be scheduled for late July. Listening to live Delgados on John Peel.
Spent a largely unrewarding and frustrating day working for the man, then a good few hours oiling the wheels of TSP Services - which was more interesting in many ways. My friend just bought a bright yellow Fiat car. My sister has discovered SMS messages.
A day of living vicariously - spent the day wandering Bristol looking a flats with the Americans, and the evening helping a friend wander around deserted used car lots (no salesmen to hassle you after closing, but felt kind of illegal!). Finally reupgraded to 2.2.16 after the great hard drive crash saw me struggling along with the hulking and non-optimal default RedHat kernel. The whole bank saga is finally over, as today I received a working PIN number!
Exhausting week at work - severely under strength and very busy. Hayfever also hovering on the horizon. Got another assignment back - 70, really not bad in the circumstances. Holland v. Italy penalties was my most exciting Euro 2000 moment so far. Bit depressing really!
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
