Fame at last! I have a story on segfault.org. As I write its rated 7/10 which I think is pretty damn good for a first effort!
The single weirdest weekend of my life is over. I can write no more.
Not much going on, but I feel like I have to tell someone that MySQL is finally beginning to make sense! Easter looms, should get some study done, but also want to spend time campaigning, leafleting and refining the StreetServer stuff. For now though, happy to relax, get drunk and listen to that Delgados record. Oh, Leafnode-1.9.13 is out if anyone cares.
First things first - get the Delgados new record "The Great Eastern". No more needs to be said on that issue. Upgraded to Redhat 6.2 (Zoot) over the weekend - all went pretty smoothly. Latest project is the Lionel StreetServer which is only interesting if you work for Bristol Social Services - its a searchable online street directory. Dull or what? The election campaign continues...my knees are aching from last nights leafleting!
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
