A sudden attack of queasyness means once again (and despite recommendations) I fail to see The Snowdogs. Anyone for the gig at Sleazy's?
More mainly Gtkdial news. A fixed and improved 0.2.19 is out, which separates out preferences into a separate dialog, provides audio feedback on connection status, fixes more single-service mode issues, and generally tightens things up. Here is the usual RedHat 7.0 and RedHat 6.2 RPMs. Have decided to definately split the Gtkdial stuff out into a separate page next week sometime.
At the risk of this becoming the gtkdial changelog, 0.2.18 is out now with some UI and bug fixes, and new menus and useful keybindings. I'm toying with separating out gtkdial into a separate page, but my laughable coding skills seem safer here on the daylog somehow.
More gtkdial news - at last the single-service option is working, along with some other general tidying up (Usual RPMS: Red Hat 7.0/Red Hat 6.2). Teeth feeling a little better. Finally got the haircut I've been threatening for weeks. Be warned, at this rate there could be yet more releases of gtkdial before the day is out....
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
