Restless weekend, awaiting fate in the form of appeal decisions. Managed to read a great deal, eat and drink too much, and not sleep nearly enough. Hot and tiring rush over to Burnham this morning, planned to go to outdoor Shakespeare thing tonight, but no-one else wanted to. I find Shakespeare dull without company to complain to! Finished last day of long stretch of Appeals. Feel exhausted but generally happy with the work I've put in. The results remain to be seen... A little work on getting a very lightweight bookmark system into denzil with not a great deal of success. Drank too much. Turning thoughts to Gissing In The City conference.
Drank altogther too much coffee this morning. Cleaned, tidied and ironed in preparation for the coming week. Got CVS repository working again. Set to work on file types in denzil with Fuzzy's assistance. Finally got it working and managed a release. Excellent but rather disturbing programme about Philip Larkin on Channel 4.
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
