Finally submitted End of Course Assessment for T171 yesterday. This has occupied a good deal of time this week, along with being generally knackered from what has proved to be a continuing work nightmare trying to recover from the move. Applied for a job in North Somerset's IT department, and have thought seriously about a further opportunity. Happy in my work right now, so its hard to visualise being elsewhere, and history teaches me to be content with my lot! Received mail to say that I'm part of the GNOME Foundation Membership Committee today - perhaps now I can start helping in a more structured way. Looks like Linuxworld.ie might be cancelled, but since travel arrangements are finalized, will likely go to Dublin anyway. Otherwise, things feel sort of odd just now. Birthday approaches - perhaps that's it?

I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.

I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
