Finally went public on my interesting but scary job offer. Still unsure what to do, but tending to think that the grass is always greener and that since I'm comfortable and happy where I am for at least a year, I should see how that progresses. Early start - off to Bristol to buy shoes, but was thwarted by the lack of Converse products in the entire UK! Appearance of new Virgin Voyager train at Temple Meads seemed to astound staff and passengers alike - it looked like they always said the future would be - all sleek and silver. Picked up a couple of CDs and the latest Douglas Coupland novel. Later, attended a Barn Dance in honour of a colleague's 60th Birthday.
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
