Missed an early train to Burnham, but got the 10:00am bus. Became a very hot day somewhere during the journey. Went with my parents to view their soon to be new car, along with brother-in-law. Received SMS message from Kabalak to say that gtranslator 0.39 was ready for packaging whilst en route back to Weston. Built RPMs and messed with SourceForge for a bit. Cleaned house. Decided to hack on gtkdial for a bit. Finally fixed weird pseudo-session management bug which had put me off working on it. Cleaned up other bits and prepped for release. On a roll now, I set about fixing the build process for gwvedit. A nasty hack got the RPMs building, so that too is practically release ready, except for a late bugreport from Germany!
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
