End of a trying week at work, full of tensions and typographical errors.
Went out, in reasonably ebullient spirits to watch a football match. All seemed well, with a brief discussion of the name of Basil Brushes' master to look up when I got home (its 'Mr' something, but I've yet to find it).
Later, a random bystander referred to me as 'repulsive'. I'm called many things in the course of my daily work, I cope with most, but I must confess that this one hit me below the belt.
The people I perhaps usually and mistakenly rely on to convince I'm actually not repulsive are just making me feel irrelevant.
Perhaps its time to develop a Poll Module for this site - reader, would you prefer to be repulsive or irrelevant? What have I become?
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
