First day back at work. Disorientating - more walls are coming down by the week. Its our 'team away day' next Tuesday. Somewhat apprehensive. Wandered via bookshop on my travels tonight. Got nice volume of Chatterton's 'Rowley Poems'. Tempted by various volumes of Strand Magazine, and the beautiful illustrated silver and white copy of Tennyson's "Maud" which has caught my eye on several occasions. Constructive critcism and a patch to pkgview is welcome. A lot of books have arrived over the past couple of days. Rearranged shelves, but space is still limited. Tried to arrange some insurance over the web, but a dumb Javascript error prevents it. Official advice is to submit wrong data, then to call to correct it. Why have a website one wonders?
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
