A bit of a strange day. Discovered planned entertainment was cancelled. A long, frustrating day - during which my productivity failed me I'm ashamed to say. Thank goodness its pay day, and the boost to funds from the laptop will help too. Booked a ticket to see Lambchop next week, which falls on one of a couple of days off I have planned. Feeling frustrated and full of the nervous energy I'd collected in order to go out in public without feeling useless. Probably shouldn't have gone to Bristol, as I just became intensely annoying to all concerned. When will I learn? Bought cakes at work to celebrate GNOME 2.0, availability of funds, and Friday in general! Increasingly obsessed with George Orwell's various essays.
I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.
I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
