A quieter day. Felt too agitated to read much today, despite a tantalisingly high stack of books (and more on the way, thanks to eBay). Wandered out to the Post Office, shopping etc. Wrote a little bit about the oddness of the Lambchop show last night. Irritated people on IRC. Finally responded to Gman's mail regarding the GNOME Foundation stuff. It seems that industrial action is on the way. After spending quite a bit of time explaining to people why its not just about 'greed', I'm pleased to see that the majority of voters understood the issues. Released a GNOME 2.0 version of the gpuce viewer, with a much-improved gallery making script. Should probably write a GUI for it. One day.

I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.

I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
