Well, that essay is back. I managed 79 which is an incredible relief, but one mark too few to make me pay up on a bet! Its in the work dump now of course. Off to see the Somerset Singers perform Verdi's Requiem at Wells Cathedral tonight.

Off work now for the rest of the campaign. My team of image consultants assisted me to prepare for a press photocall today, only to have no photographer available! segfault.org has been down since I last wrote, so I have no idea how the story went down - aside from a positive mention on comp.lang.perl.misc.

Fame at last! I have a story on segfault.org. As I write its rated 7/10 which I think is pretty damn good for a first effort!

The single weirdest weekend of my life is over. I can write no more.

I've had a home on the web for more years than I care to remember, and a few kind souls persuade me it's worth persisting with keeping it updated. This current incarnation of the site is centred around the blog posts which began back in 1999 as 'the daylog' and continued through my travels and tribulations during the following years.

I don't get out and about nearly as much these days, but I do try to record significant events and trips for posterity. You may also have arrived here by following the trail to my former music blog Songs Heard On Fast Trains. That content is preserved here too.
