Woke up early to bid farewell to Hallski. Bruxelles in the rain was still sort of attractive so did some vague sightseeing before heading rather too early to the station. Long but pleasant journey home, with a long and less pleasant interval waiting at Waterloo for the train to Bristol....

Second day brings more interesting talks - especially the Jabber talk, and the very well attended and much anticipated Mono talk - which turned out to be quite technical and not the political or evangelistic extravaganza which some had predicted. Everyone was pretty exhausted and uncommunicative, so an early night...

First day of FOSDEM. Watched Stallman's opener incredulously. Wished I got more sleep, and that I had my laptop with me - especially because the programme of talks was somewhat light today. Drifted off early into Bruxelles and had food. Found an Irish pub, to which Hallski, MarkMc and friends...
