This should have been a nice easy day - roll out of my reasonably priced hotel and into Kings Cross for a not-so-stupid o'clock start. However, it became apparent as the letters from Pathfinder rolled in during the past couple of weeks that things would not be quite as straightforward....

There are few locomotive hauled trains around here these days, and outside the somewhat busier summer months there are almost none in daylight hours. Strange then to have a weekend of unexpected activity, but in typical style I managed to miss most of it by minutes. Stumbled out of bed...
