Appraisal day. All goes well. More meetings. More confusion. More revelations. I like my job - more than ever, but the politics are sometimes bewildering. I've learned to side-step them mostly, but its hard to avoid. Need new projects and things to look forward to. ...

Back to work. All very hurried and confusing. Lots going on, some of it secret and worrying. Meetings about Net Capacity start the week. Appraisal looms. Tons happening, considering its Summer Holidays. Will people never stop applying for school places this september?! ...
