Only managed two out of three letters published in local paper, and one of them had my favourite bit edited out! Off to Swansea to visit Telsa and Alan. Smooth journey, including a ride on one of Virgin's new Class 220s, which was quick and quiet. Later, headed out for...

Frantic day, trying to fix two very difficult student-related problems which won't go away. Both seem to stem from sillyness on behalf of their University, which as the day goes on I began to think was rather cynical and sad. They will of course shout loudly when no fees appear....
