Straight to Bristol for peace vigil/anti-war demo after work. Very well attended, with press, TV and radio interest. Happy hour waving placards and receiving hoots from passing motorists. The strangest of days. Expected a quiet, somewhat maudlin run back into a working week. Got an edgy worrying day with lots of scary surprises and hidden possibilities. Overall, peace was resumed - but I do worry about people. Even if its not reciprocated. ...

Another wedding. A silly, confusing morning puts paid to attempts to attend the ceremony proper. Much later, I get my act together and attend the evening reception. Wonderful to see the happy couple, and much impressed by Kewstoke Village Hall which is huge. Got frighteningly drunk on strange Eastern European...
