The more I use Evolution, the more obsessive I'm becoming about it! Spent much of the past couple of days messing with a variety of forms of Interprocess Communication to rewrite bits of Gtkdial, finally settled on a non-blocking FIFO which I'm currently struggling with...Why do people only mention possible...

Evolution 0.8 day. As ever the usual heartstopping process of huge downloads, long compiles and tentative launching. 0.8 looks and performs amazingly, aside from some packaging problems which have foxed most users. This leads to me hacking around with gtkhtml a bit, with surprisingly useful results! Christmas lunch Brit Style.

Pretty grim day weather-wise, so I decided to spend much of it writing online help files for Gtkdial (the help files are also here). Packaged up a new pre-release, and then decided (at 3pm-ish) to see if there was any post. EXAM RESULTS!, managed 62% for Death and Dying and...
