The Community Care essay has finally been laid to rest. Spent the afternoon at an informative training course on the Independent Living Fund. Celebrated weekend of relative freedom by upgrading to Perl 5.6.0 by compiling from source (hardcore!), and reinstalling a bunch of modules. Ended up bleary eyed and sleepy...
